Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) was created with the objective of detection, investigation of offences and prosecutions of persons, indulging in unauthorised occupation of lands/property belonging to government and government organisations in Bangalore Metropolitan Area vide GO No. UDD/247/MNU/95 Bangalore dated 19th March 1996.
In addition, to identify those employees and officers of the above organisations who collude with the public in committing the offences by creating false and forged documents and which involve loss of revenue and to take action against them as per law in respect to the offences and irregularities committed under the following enactments vide GO No UDD 110 MNU 97, Bangalore dated 28th Aug 1997

b) The Bangalore Development Authority Act, 1976
c) The Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964
d) The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board Act, 1964
e) The KArnataka Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1973
f) The Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964
g) The Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prohibition of Transfer of Certain Lands) Act, 1961
h) The Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961
i) Inam Abolition Acts
j) The Indian Penal Code
k) The Karnataka Police Act, 1963
2. Government in GO HD 231 PEG 95, Bangalore dated 27th May 1996 declared Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force as Police Station in respect of offences committed under the Above Acts. In addition, the offences, under Chapter V under Section 107 to 120 IPC Chapter IV under Section 120(B) along with relevant main offence Chapter VIII under sections 143, 144, 145, 147, 148, 149, 150, 151, IPC Chapter XI under Section 217 and 218 IPC, Chapter SVI under Sections 332, 333, 353, IPC(7), chapter SVII Sections of theIndian Penal Code 1860 and 403, 406, 407, 408, 379, 409, 417, 418, 419, 420, 423, 424, 426, 427, 431, 432, 434, 435, 436, 447, 448, 455, 456 and 457 IPC(8) Chapter XVIII 456, 466, 467, 468, 471, 472, 473, 474, 475, 476, 477, 477A IPC Sections 54,55,56, 94, 98, 113 adn 114 of Karnataka Police Act, 1963.
3. Police Station is functioning in 3rd floor of BBMP Annex Building to receive public complaints so as to investigate & register cases of irregularities and offence committed under various Acts, mentioned above.
4. General Public or any aggrieved persons are requested to inform in writing or Email or Fax to SP, BMTF, Bangalore regarding any complaints on the matters referred supra.
