In response to the mugging incidents on the Outer ring road, the police have sent this information to the Outer Ring Road Companies Association (ORRCA). Excerpts from the mail. With reference to recent mugging incidents that are reporting on Outer Ring Road, Marathalli, Sarjapur and Hosur Road. Kindly advise your employees What ever may be the case do not come out of their vehicle and raise alarm for help from car by switching on car alarm. Many of you would have noticed the Iblur flyover opened yesterday. The Forward150 federation, Outer Ring Road Companies Association (ORRCA) is working with the traffic police to improve the traffic at the junction.The road leading to Bellandur from Iblur is being cleared and the diversions removed in a weeks time. Vehicles plying from Bellandur towards Iblur need to go on top of the flyover and land at Iblur village cross, vehicles plying from Bellandur towards Sarjapur need to take the left lane/service road before the flyover and turn left.Haphazard parking is a big problem, especially on the roads near Bellandur…

Viswanath Seetharam, general secretary, Outer Ring Road Companies' Association (ORRCA) shares the following information.The agara flyover while coming from HSR BDA Complex towards Iblur is open. The second flyover at agara for vehicles moving from Iblur side towards Silkboard is yet to be completed and may take a couple of months more. Also, the vehicles plying from Iblur towards Silkboard will be allowed to go straight from today in the road between the two flyovers at Agara junction. Past few weeks have seen a few incidents of mugging near Outer Ring Road/Sarjapur Road area.In mid-May, a resident of Sun City apartments and employee at a tech firm located on ORR was stopped by two men, accusing him of causing an accident. The person threatened tried to reason with them, and later using some pretext, drove into his office nearby. He left his car there, and enlisted the help of his company HR department, who helped him get home.  Earlier, there was a more serious and similar incident: a resident was forced to stop his car by two men…
