Here are details on property tax payment for 2012-13, as per BBMP's press release: • Financial year for 2012-13 begins on April 1st.• As there has been no revision in taxes, tax can be paid as per last year. There is no change in self-declared tax and building depreciation.• Property tax can be paid at all BBMP offices and Bangalore One centers on all working days. Payment hours are from 9 am to 12.30 pm, and from 3 pm to 7 pm.• If the entire year's property tax is paid by 30th April, you can get a rebate of 5%.…

Bagmane Tech Park has paid 10 crore rupees of overdue property tax. Many other organizations and individuals are also taking this issue of paying the tax seriously even before BBMP issues notices and arrives in front of their buildings with the drum beaters to save themselves from embarrasment. BBMP Commissioner Mr Siddiah held a meeting with all BBMP officials on 13 October to intensify the Property Tax Collection drive.He has instructed to issue warrants to all cases with overdue tax and specified that there should not be any part payment of tax but instead the total overdue tax is to be collected along with the penalty.If any differences are found in Self declared property tax, then the same should be collected with penalty immediately. By the end of October 2011 a target of 200 to 250 crore rupees should be collected from overdue tax cases. ⊕
