Most pedestrians and cyclists in the city can attest to the fact that Bangalore is as unfriendly as it can be, to them.  We are a city of very knowledgeable people. We know exactly where we are, and we don't need to be informed about our whereabouts by some stupid signboard. In fact, the signboard is only there to stick posters on, and inform people about other events or goods on offer....until such time as those posters are legible. If a newcomer comes to Bangalore, s/he, too, will know instantly, just by looking at the name board, that this Billposterpuram or Stickernagar or Advertisment Layout.Of course...with maps on one's mobile phone, and being online all the time....name boards are now a quaint relic from…

Because of holidays there will be lot of rush towards Bangalore City Railway Station and Kempe Gowda terminal on March 9th and 10th. I agree that a certain latitude can be given in cars' number plates, but surely, like in the instance here: When the licence no. can be misinterpreted and misread, it must be illegal? I think we need guidelines clearly spelt out by the Bangalore Traffic Police, about what is permissible in number plates. ⊕

Is it OK to "decorate" one's car in this fashion?  It's all very well to decorate one's car with the symbols of one's faith: But this seems to leave, quite literally, a very small window of vision for the driver, and almost none at all for the passenger in front.Are such "windshield decorations" legal? More important, are they safe? ⊕
